Sevierville, (TN) — The Sevierville Chamber of Commerce named Susan Morrow as a Ray Sellers Legacy Award
recipient during the 5th Annual Summer Picnic on June 4. Morrow, one of the Chamber’s longest standing
volunteers, received the award in recognition of her outstanding service to the Chamber and the community.
“Susan’s dedication is woven into the fabric of every major Chamber event,” says Sevierville Chamber of Commerce
special events manager Daniel Young. “From volunteering at all of our events, to serving as the community
representative on the Chamber’s special events committee, her tireless leadership and selflessness continue to inspire us all.”
The Ray Sellers Legacy Award is presented in honor of Ray Sellers, who was well-known for volunteering at
Sevierville Chamber of Commerce special events and several other organizations throughout Sevier County.
The award honors his legacy of tireless dedication, quiet leadership, and wholehearted service.
“There are very few people who share Susan’s level of commitment and enthusiasm for our events,”
says Sevierville Chamber of Commerce chief executive officer, Brenda McCroskey. “She worked
side-by-side with Ray for decades, and just as Ray did, Susan embodies the volunteer spirit that defines Sevierville.”
As a thank you for her dedication, Morrow was presented with a handmade Rebekah pitcher—a traditional
symbol of hospitality and service. The vessel represents the time, talent, and heart recipients have poured into the community.
“I am overwhelmed and thrilled to be given this award,” says Morrow. “Sevierville is my adopted hometown.
That’s why I love to volunteer at special events, because I want Sevierville to be a place
people love to live and visit. Thank you for this very special honor.”
